Summer KAL

Can you believe it's almost summer?! We had a great preview here in May, but it looks like we're headed for a little June gloom for a while. Hopefully the sun will keep making daily appearances!

The summer KAL is just around the corner! We'll cast on June 20th, the first day of summer. We're going to be knitting Sierra Sunset Cowl from Marinade Designs and I just can't wait! We'll be using DK, 85% Polwarth wool and 15% Silk. Such a gorgeous yarn!

Special thanks to JimmyBeansWool for sharing these pictures and for sharing the free pattern! Doug Zander did a great job with the pictures!

Thank you again to Doug Zander and JimmyBeansWool for the photo
The cowl looks lickety split fast with all the garter knitting and then a tidy lace border. Best of all, we get to use buttons! I have a wee stash...somewhere, but I might need to rustle up some perfect ones for this. I also think this will be a great addition to the sunset wardrobe. There's a little chill that moves in and I think this is just the ticket! I hope you can join in on the KAL. I bet we can even talk Kristen (could she be any cuter!), the designer, into a little interview! Stop by the shop and get your yarn for the summer KAL!

Feature Friday is a bit choose your own this week! I'm a bit behind schedule due to some back pain. Go to the shop and pick any sure wash fingering and get Knit Night from Debbi Stone free! http://www.knittedwit.com (sorry, I'm blogging from my app and don't know how to do links!) It's a clever little pattern that looks great in semi solid yarn. I promise a picture next time! We're off to get some tools to improve work around here for my back!!

Featured

Let's get started with the Featured section with one of the newest samples. Raindrops on Roses is a beautiful shawl pattern designed by Irish Girlie Knits.
You'll see a lot of her patterns in this section, I'm a big fan of her designs!
Jessica, Cairnish, knit this little number up. The pattern uses one skein of fingering weight yarn. I've picked 5 colors to feature in the shop. I hope one suits your fancy!
Could Jess be any cuter?! Make sure you check out her shop and grab some cute stitch markers!

Catch Up!

Wow, time is flying...like a humming bird! I can't believe how long it's been since I stopped by! It feels like there's lots of balls in the air and they're all keeping me distracted. Here's the run down on the family side: e turned 4! Can you believe it?! We're doing up a big party this weekend for both boys since they're birthdays are 3 weeks a part. My little o is a trooper and tolerated getting his foot numbed up so the doctor could find what ever was buried in it. Nothing a little antibiotic doesn't help, right? And to round up the family catch up, E crashed his bike almost two weeks ago on his way home from work. While nothing is broken, he is still in quite a bit of pain. He took a corner too sharp and his tires slipped out on the loose gravel. Nothing like living out a Tour de France wipe out. So he's walking with a limp and can't lift much with his right arm. Pretty awesome. And me. I have a part time job, two nights a week and Saturday day. You can find me at Twisted! I've been there a few weeks and just love it. The perfect amount of time out the house, a great work environment, and working with all my favorite things: yarn, fiber, patterns, needles, spinning wheels, looms, people!!!!! Wow, it's been busy!

Now, lets run down the fun for Knitted Wit! I have a plane ticket to Columbus Ohio and a booth at TNNA! I am so excited to participate in the wholesale trade show. I have a new line of yarn, more colors and a few projects to debut at the show! As soon as a few of the colors are ready I'll be sure to put some pictures up. Actually, if you 'like' Knitted Wit on facebook you can preview some of the colors on the drying rack. What else is going on....Oh! There's going to be a fiber sale coming up, just need to take the pictures and load them in to the shop. You can stock up for Tour de Fleece! I'm also going to add a Featured section in the shop. Each week I'll pick a sample and show it off on the blog. I'll get the yarn and pattern picked out and load it in to Featured. Buy the yarn and pattern is included for free! I have some amazing sample knitters that have made so many beautiful things! I can't wait to share!!

I think that just about covers all the fun. I need to get back to some birthday crafts for the boys! We're going for a Bearenstain Bears theme, I'm just a little excited! I'll be back soon with the first Featured yarn and pattern! Thanks for checking in!

Trunk Show!

Whatchya doing on Saturday? Nothing? You should come see me from 1-4 at Wool N Wares in West Linn of course! Karen and Vickee are having me down for the day! I can't wait to spend the day with them and their sweet shop. I'll be dropping off loads of samples tomorrow so you can get a preview of what's to come on Saturday. The table will be loaded with all the beautiful yarn you need to make your own pretty! I'll see you Saturday!

These are a few of my newest samples. Sock Yarn Baby Sweater, Hannah Fettig. The pattern is available sized up to adult! I think I'll be picking some colors soon and casting on. A great summer project because it's not super bulky and pretty mindless stockinette in the round! By the time fall gets here I'll have a cute little sweater!
